'To reach the Wolf Creek crater [...], it was necessary to fly to Hall's Creek and from there drive a hundred miles by jeep [...]. The jeep trip required seven hours. The last nine miles and four hours were through a kind of spiny grass [...]. The jeep bucked along like a galloping mule with a broken leg.
